My sig pic file is within the size limit constraints so I don't think that my issue is there, but every time I try to upload the picture I get an error saying something about "upload failed due to failure creating temporary file"
Is this just me or is this a known issue?

Ok, now I'm getting the same error trying to upload a avatar....
Hmmm.... I'll look at it when I get home tonight (if nobody beats me to it... I'll be getting home late). Seems to be working for everyone else though... do you have a firewall or anything that may block it?

i doubt a firewall/router would block him putting an image up for his avatar, just make sure your using the (i took HTML in school)

that worked for my sig, not an option for avatar unfortunatly :/
Uploading works fine for me and the permissions are all correct on the server.

A firewall and/or virus scanner can interfere with the upload. Also, [IMG] is BB code... <img src="blah"> is HTML. ;)

well i was able to directly upload from my laptop at home, the machine i was using earlier was a linux workstation at the office, trying to pass from a url, not directly from the machine.
Ah... I'll test the "upload from URL".
Ok, fixed it. Thanks for reporting the issue. Our host enabled php safe_mode without telling us. :/
