So i was wondering if anybody can help me out. mY check engin light runs up a code whicvh i believe is P00102 which i believe was Mass air flow sensor/ Volume air flow sensor, Circuit A low input wire to ground, emc. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if this is a easy sensor to replace; if it is a expensive sensor to replace; could i do it myself; and possible where it is located. that would be greatly appreciated i need all the help i can get. Thank you, Also i am new to the site and have no idea how to start my own post so that this way i can get my question out to where maybe more ppl can notice it easier. Thanks for the help

I dont know about doing it yourself. But ive had to change my MAF sensor 2 times, (had auto body do it) it was cheap, because it broke while it was in warrenty.
It's probably the easiest sensor to replace. lol The MAF is in-line with the intake tube, close to where the air filter is. If you could post a pic of your engine bay I'll circle it for you. (I have removed mine so I can't show you were it is in my engine bay. lol)
To replace it, you just pop of the electrical connector, then pull the tube off both sides. Reverse to install new one.

Not sure what you mean with the posting. Can you elaborate on what you're trying to do?
The problem you're having with the car may be due to the MAF sensor. It's not reading the air correctly so it's not quite sure what to do. I would get that fixed before anything else. You can buy a new sensor from www.hyundaioemparts.com for $150 to $200 depending on if you have the I4 or the V6, but just call around to the junkyards in your area to see if anyone has any. Unfortunately, I sold mine for $20 shipped just last week or I would sell it to you.
Before you buy a new sensor though, make sure the connector is well seated and clean it. Just take some alcohol and a Q-Tip and clean the filiment wires inside the sensor. Just dip the Q-Tip in the alcohol, stick it through the honeycomb of the casing and rub it up and down the wires. Be VERY careful doing this as the wires are fragile and easy to break. It's actually a very common issue with people who have CAIs due to the oil on the filter coating the wires (usually from over-oiling the filter).

well you see, i click the new post link and all it does is show all the new post there is no button or link that says create new post lol. And i hope this isn't a dumb question nul7 but if i'm looking in the junk yard for a maf sensor, does it have to be a 03 or can i get one a few years newer or older. and by the way its a v6 so i'm assuming that means the sensor is going to cost more

NOw on top of all this, i'm just going to lay it all on the line of what else is wrong with my tib. This is a big bummer because everything i buy there is always something wrong that can't be explained. One wierd problem is when ever i go get gas in it, well i should say when ever i go and put more then lets say 15 bucks in it; when i go to start it it barely and i mean barely turns over, adn tehn when it does start if i don't rev it a little before i go it well die. then if i start it again instantly after it dies it well sound likes it going to die but won't. If i drive a block down the road adn shut it off adn turn back on it turns on like nothings wrong. I called the hyundai dealer ship adn they said they have never heard of such a thing and they would have to look at it and i'm sorry i'm not going to pay them guys hundreds of dollars to have them not find the problem. The next big problem is the alarm system on my car. If i look the door with my remote adn lets say the remote isn't working so i have to use the key to unlock them. the moment i open the door with my own key the alarm goes off and won't stop even if i put the key in the ignition adn try to turn it over. So there for i can't even lock my doors for the fear that the alarm well sound when i use the key to unlock them? basically i'm screwed

The "New Posts" link is to show you a list of all the threads containing posts that were added after your last visit.
If you want to create a new thread, hit the "Forum" link in the upper left, click the link for the section you want to create a thread in, then click the "New Thread" button at the top of the thread listing. Hope that makes sense... if not, I'll take some screen shots later on to help out. But... you created this thread. lol How did you do that if you don't know how to create threads? :P
You can use a MAF sensor from any 03-06 V6 Tib (Probably 07/08 as well, but I think they may have changed slightly.) A new V6 sensor will cost more, but they'd probably be the same price from a junk yard.

Odd that they say they've never heard of it.... as it sounds exactly like another common problem with the GKs... the "charcoal box" or the line to it are clogged. If you look behind your back bumper you'll see a strange black box. This is for emissions to filter the vent line from the gas tank. If the line to the box or the box itself gets clogged up, it will have problems starting after fueling (one of the symptoms).

Yeah, by locking the doors with the fob, you're activating the alarm. You'll have to de-activate the alarm with the fob. Instead of using the fob, just lock the doors with the key.

^^ Yeah I found that out the hard way as well my wife's Sonata is the same. just lock the doors before you get out and use the key to open them you will have no problmes.
