Hello,
dctibby was kind enough to send me a lightly-used set of 07 headlights to tape the installation video! Thanks dctibby!!!
I was sick for most of the weekend with strep, very dizzy... but with a lot of Tylenol I was able to get one headlight set up! And I just had to take some pictures. They look GREAT!!! I am so excited about these.
These were taken in a well-lit room in my basement. Notice the reflection of the low beam ring, I thought that was pretty cool!

It's a sunny day outside, bright and early at 9 AM. Let's see some daytime pics!

Now this is interesting- my chrome headlights were purchased from a member here for a great deal! (thanks man!) and they were originally from SharkRacing and have the V1 angel eyes. They're about as bright as the original angel eyes I did. Let see a comparison shot. Don't be fooled by the reflection of the chrome ring, look at the actual acrylic ring.

Wait- are the V1's even on?! LOL! Oh yeah, they sure are. You can see a little bit of light at the LED. It's just sunny outside and you can't see them at all!
And here's a couple pictures in the dark, just for fun. Keep in mind taking pictures of just one light source in the dark can be VERY distorted but I tried to take these as "realistically" as possible. As you can see, they do project light at night. I can't wait to get them in my headlights!!! :3_chubby:

Now for the Q/A:
They are listed on my site right now. Base price is $89.99. I don't have pictures of red or blue yet, but those will be $5 extra. Basically the plastic casing will be sprayed with stained glass paint. This is really the only way to do it and maintain the brightness of the white ring. Unfortunately this does mean that the color will be visible when off, but I don't think it'll be a huge deal.
From the price of $89.99, you can get the $5 color upgrade. Either the OEM kit (turns on with parking lights) or the fog kit (turns on with fogs) is included in the price. You can get a switched kit, which will make them controlled 100% independently with a switch, whether the car is on or not, for an extra $5. The reason for this is because the OEM and fog kits include a relay, and the switch kit does not, so it's not that much more. Then if you'd like you can get an OEM switch, harness, and wiring as part of the OEM Switch kit for $25. So highest price of any kit would be $120, and lowest not on sale would be $90.
Now I know some of you will want to upgrade from those dim acrylic AE's, so here's the deal I'm doing: if you show proof that you sold or got rid of your old AE's, you get $20 store credit on your next purchase from Diode Dynamics! :3_pimatyo
You can order them now, but no installation videos are ready. They are almost the same as my old videos, but the wiring's a bit different. For someone who has done a little wiring, it shouldn't be too bad at all. So you can order now, but just keep that in mind. I'll write a up a description here soon to use until the vids are done.
The bad:
Limited availability! :(
I only have enough for 9 03-04 kits and 3 07-08 kits and no 05-06 kits right now. The rings do cost me a pretty penny so I couldn't invest that much to begin with. The good news is that as soon as I collect on those, I'll be able to place a larger order along with funds I have saved up and have all model years always in stock.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks,
Paul
