Every Clarian employee is given a Home Drive with their NT account, for roaming profile, outlook PST files, software, etc. I never really realized how much storage they gave each employee until just now.
If that's the storage just for me..I can't even begin to think how much memory they have on the Clarian.org servers...
Note: I'm on Clarian Home server #3..out of 6 total.

I have no idea how much I have! Will have to look at it!
EDIT:
Looked at it and now can someone break this down for me! I think I have it but not exactly sure.
It says my capacity is .98 TB (is this the same as 9800GB?) and I am using .97 TB with 6.04 GB free space!

Man if you only knew! It is hard to track over a 100 million in inventory!

.98TB would be 980gb.
1.0tb = 1000gb

Yeah, that is what I meant, I put one too many zero's; the T stands for Tera right? 973.96 GB of data, man that is a bunch of stuff! I am just about to fill up my storage space on the network, and that doesn't include what my machine has on it; that is just my personal storage! I guess they are going to have to double my capacity!

Thats the whole drive. not sayings its not f*ing huge, but every user doesn't have 800gigs.
You would need to talk to a network admin to get the user storage limit.
On a seperate note, I hate roaming profiles.

Mine is just my space! I don't know if everyuser has that much, but mine is listed under my name! I will see if I can figure out how much the whole server has.

No, every user doesn't have 800+ gigs. They have 50 apiece. I sent an email to ask.
However, all Information Services employees (including myself) have their own 850GB drive assigned to them. The Chhome3 server is 70TB.
I have 550 gb of software/operating system images on my drive alone, plus all my data files, log files, profiles, etc.

70TB is a LOT.
I bet there is a TOn of (unnecessary) redundancy in all of that.
But storage space is cheap these days so, whatever.

Yeah, no kidding. makes me glad I don't have to deal with backing up all that ****.
And that's only Chhome3, there's 6 total.

if they have quotas set up, then you will only see what your limit is.

How long does it take to defrag and cypher a terabyte?
When I get my next project I am thinking of setting a raid-5 terrabyte array, just for ****s and giggles.

ive got ...40, 160, 250...450gb. and im staring to run shallow with movies, anime, music, video games that take 5-10 gb of space a piece, etc.
when you look at that number (1tb, or 1000gb) you think, wow ill never use that. but youd be suprised at how fast that fills up.
I've got just over a terabyte on my home server. I've barely put a dent in it and I have a few hundred movies on there... but most of them are divx so they're pretty small. (That's all that's on there though... OS, movies, and accompanying software. I don't play games on it or anything like that.)
