my tiburon is a 2006 and its dark blue. i love the color but just the fact that its dark makes it hard to take care of, on top of the fact that it battles the NY winter/salt/sand, so when spring comes around i gotta do a ton of work to get the car looking brand new again. so im thinking of painting the car a light color.. i owned 2 silver elantras and its a great color and easy to take care of. im also thinking white.. or maybe a 2 tone idea, like the top blue and bottom silver or the other way around.... OR just leave the car the color it is.
discuss....

you should have taken the advice in the other thread you started...why bring up old **** and make it look new because you are too lazy to clean your car...if you dont like taking care of your car, get rid of it...

who relax there guy, i didnt i realize made that other thread until i made this one.... how are you gonna say im to lazy to clean my car? you dont know me man.... i have taken care of every car iv owned and i take very good care of my tiburon, but when it comes to a dark color its not easy to keep it mint, ask anyone.. no matter how much you clean/wax or polish a dark car it will NEVER stay flawless looking like a light colored car will, and i know this because i do it for a living for my cousins limo company and im around auto body shops alot. PLUS im going to be doing autobody/paint work for a living when im done with school.
i think my car looks pretty good for a 2 year old dark car thats been through the worst weather. but it still have swirls, but from the way i detail my car you would never know it unless i neglect the car for a period of time which i dont do.. ever.

if you went into buying the moonlit blue knowing that you live in NY, you should have realized that it was gonna be a ***** to clean...you wanted opinions...you got a few...you want to make it easier to take care of, move or sell it for a lighter color or repaint the whole thing...three easy options for something that could have been solved with a little thought on your part at the time of purchase

more than its worth.
For a quality paintjob... $3,000 on the low end. And that's only painting the outside. If you want to redo the interior as well, another $2-3,000+.
